recipe @ home | chia pudding made two ways | four to six ingredients

God does not approve of cooking on the sabbath day.

my son and i like to have chia pudding on sabbaths as i do not turn on the stove or oven to keep this day holy.

i make one for me. i make one special one for my boy who still drinks cow’s milk.


“ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.” (exodus 35:3)


recipe variation #1

makes one serving.

ingredients:

instructions:

  1. pour the milk into your favorite bowl or large cup.

  2. while stirring with a whisk, add the chia seeds.

  3. add the cinnamon and vanilla extract.

  4. stir with a whisk again.

  5. let sit for 15 - 20 minutes to let the chia seeds soften and plump up.

recipe variation #2

makes one serving.

ingredients:

  • 1 cup low-fat cow’s milk

  • 3 tablespoons chia seeds

  • 1 heaping tablespoon strawberry jam

  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

instructions:

  1. follow the same instructions as in recipe variation #1 but also add the jam and maple syrup.
