let us assume that you are married. you married someone that is not walking with the Lord. you thought you two were different. with all the failed marriages out there, you thought, surely, the wreckage displayed does not apply to you. you two can make it. and time goes by.
you married someone not bound by biblical laws.
and now your spouse has cursed you in their heart.
“their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: their feet are swift to shed blood...” (romans 3:13 - 15)
all you want is a little appreciation. a hug. a kiss. fidelity. respect. trust. love.
a safe place for your heart.
and it’s not happening.
so you head to your favorite diner. you just want to sit in a booth with red and white plush seating, have perfectly round pancakes, coffee, maybe a milkshake, and relax — alone.
well, today we are going to tackle how to make perfectly round pancakes. perfectly round 360 degree pancakes to be exact. and i threw in a speculoos latte as a bonus.
how to make perfectly circular 360 degree pancakes:
in this example, i used trader joe’s gluten free pumpkin pancake mix because passover is coming up. i need to remove all of the leaven from my home. this is not a vegan pancake mix, but i used ingredient substitutions where possible.
ingredient substitutions:
replaced egg with bob’s red mill gluten-free vegan egg replacer
used olive oil instead of butter
steps to make a 360 degree pancake:
for any pancake recipe, after you have combined all of the ingredients, whisk the mixture and assess the thickness.
if it seems too thick, keep adding a thin, vegan milk such as rice dream rice drink (rice milk) or simply almond almond milk to the batter. remember, you want to use a thin milk because we want to thin out the batter. the goal is to make it thin enough to run through a batter dispenser well but not so thin that it alters the taste and texture of the pancakes.
pour the mixture into a batter dispenser. this is a neat tool that dispenses batter through a circular hole at the bottom of the container.
using a nonstick pot or pan, add enough olive oil to thoroughly cover the base with a nice layer. heat the pot or pan on the medium-low setting.
using the batter dispenser, release enough pancake batter to make one pancake. you should see a perfect circle forming. adjust the batter dispenser carefully, if needed, to make the perfect circle.
cook the pancake as normal, using a good, wide-set spatula to easily flip the pancake.
for each pancake made thereafter, simply give the pan or pot a good spray of olive oil before adding the next round of batter. to be clear, with the first pancake use olive oil from a bottle. with each pancake following, use olive oil in spray form.
voila! perfectly round 360 degree pancakes just like in the restaurants.
