soda upgraded @ home
recipe @ home | soda upgraded | four ingredients
i like fizzy drinks, and yet i rarely make them. but, if you have kids, this version is way healthier for them and packed with vitamin c! anyone up for having a soda which tastes great and makes the skin glow?
recipe
makes one drink.
ingredients:
1/2 cup sparkling pink lemonade
1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
1/2 cup fresh squeezed grapefruit juice
fresh mint leaves
instructions:
pour the sparkling pink lemonade into the cup first.
add the orange juice and grapefruit juice.
garnish with a few fresh mint leaves.
packed with vitamin c and fresh ingredients, this soda naturally beats pouring a drink out of a can.
bonus tips:
this recipe has no ice. i do not like when ice melts in my drink and waters it down. to avoid the need for ice, place the oranges, grapefruit, mint, and lemonade in the refrigerator until completely chilled. then make the drink!
look for sparkling pink lemonade that has all the fizz with the least amount of unnatural ingredients (for example, inverted sugar).
the sparking pink lemonade goes first to ensure your entire drink gets fizzed throughout. you do not need to stir or mix your drink once poured.
the overhead picture shows 1 cup of liquid in the larger measuring cup. i know. i lost one of my measuring cups one day when it broke and cut my hand. to save money and kitchen space, i never replaced it. you can mix the 1/2 cup of lemonade with the 1/2 cup of orange juice together in a measuring cup first.
